Day 1 Thu: Istanbul
Upon arrival be met and transferred to the Arena Hotel, a traditional ottoman house in the heart of the old town. Evening welcome briefing, followed by a welcome dinner in the amazing Kumkapi district. Enjoy a three-course meal, including meze and seafood and be entertained by gypsy singer. (D)

Day 2 Fri: Istanbul
Today our handpicked guide will show you Istanbul. Visit Topkapi Palace, the former imperial residence from which the Great Ottoman Empire was ruled. See Hagia Sophia, the magnificent Byzantine Church and continue the tour with exterior visit of Blue Mosque. The tour will drive down Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue) to Pera District, which is a hive of activity day or night. The backstreets, an often-neglected sightseeing route, but provide a great view of historic buildings, crumbling churches, hip cafes, swanky restaurants and market stalls. Continuing down towards Karakoy to visit the world famous Gulluoglu Pastry shop, which is specifically applauded for its baklava. After crossing the Unkapani Bridge, we will take you to the Grand Bazaar, famous for its thousands of shops, before returning to the hotel. (B)

Day 3 Sat: Istanbul-Gallipoli-Troy-Assos
Travel by luxurious mini bus (Free Wi-Fi on board) to Gallipoli to visit Johnston's Jolly (Turkish and Allied trenches and tunnels), Brighton Beach, Ari Burnu and Beach Cemetery, Anzac Cove, Australian Memorial at Lone Pine with its spectacular views, The Nek (where the tragic charge of the Light Horse took place), The New Zealand Memorial at Chunuk Bair and Turkish 57th Regiment Memorial. Special visit will also be arranged for you to pay your respects to the best known of all the ANZAC soldiers - Private John Simpson Kirkpatrick - at Beach Cemetery Afterwards cross the Dardanelles to visit the legendary site of Troy, before checking in to the Nazlihan Hotel in Assos. (B)

Day 4 Sun: Assos-Pergamum-Kusadasi
Visit Adatepe Village by Mount Ida, before travelling to Pergamum; to see the excellent public buildings and monuments such as the celebrated Library, the steepest theatre of Anatolia, the Temples of Trojan and Dionysus. Feast on a special lunch at unique Saglam Restaurant including delicious local olive oil and terracotta cheese. Overnight at the Efe Boutique Hotel overlooking the Kusadasi harbour. (B, L)

Day 5 Mon: Kusadasi-Ephesus-Sirince-Kusadasi
Proceed to the ancient city of Ephesus - a must see site in Turkey - to explore some of the best preserved ancient theatres, fountains and buildings. Lunch of Turkish Gozleme (a local type of pancake) at local at nomadic tent restaurant. Enjoy an afternoon stroll through Mother Mary's house. Stop to taste Turkish delight in Selcuk, before driving to Sirince village, famous for its apple wine. In the evening an unforgettable dinner at the Kolcuoglu Kebab restaurant. Dine on mezes from around Turkey and specially prepared kebab. (B, L, D)
Day 6 Tue: Kusadasi-Hierapolis-Pamukkale-Marmaris
Depart for Pamukkale, whose thermal spring waters are said to have healing properties. Visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, which has one of the biggest known Necropolises with over 1200 gravestones. There may be time to swim at Cleopatra's sacred pool, where the shallow thermal waters ripple over a wonderful scattering of ancient Roman ruins that lie beneath. Taste seasonal fruits of the region before going south to the Bluebay Platinum Hotel for overnight. (B)

Day 7 Wed: Marmaris-Rhodes
After breakfast our small group tour of Turkey ends and independent Greek islands (unescorted) part of the trip begins. Transfer to the port for short ferry ride to Rhodes. On arrival, transfer to Mediterranean Hotel or similar located in town. Free time to visit to the Old Town, spot the place where the famous statue of Collosous of Rhodes (one of 7 Wonders of Ancient World) once stood, or explore the shops and tavernas. There is no shortage of shopping or eating opportunities or walks around the harbour itself. (B)

Day 8 Thu: Rhodes
Free day. Optional tours available or explore the Crusader Castle and Filerimos Hill, a medieval ruin of a monastery and chapel in Rhodes or head down to the east coast, stopping in Kallithéa, a cosmopolitan holiday resort lining the long sandy beach of Faliráki beach. Relax with a drink by the beach, before dropping in to the Roman baths. Alternatively take a boat trip to Symi, to explore the many landmarks dating back to the Byzantine era. (B)

Day 9 Fri: Rhodes-Crete
Transfer to the airport for flight to Heraklion (Crete) (Direct or via Athens – Subject to availability). On arrival transfer to the Galaxy Hotel or similar. Afternoon at leisure in Crete’s vibrant capital, which offers a mix of ancient and medieval history, outstanding museums and enticing shopping and restaurants, all topped off with the ancient Palace of Knossos, located just outside town. (B)
Day 10 Sat: Crete
Free day to travel to the caves of Matala built on the coast of Messara bay, relax on the beautiful Ammoudara beach or experience authentic Greek cuisine in one of many local tavernas, enjoy a drink while you wait to be seated and experience Greek hospitality at its best. Overnight Heraklion Galaxy Hotel. (B)
Day 11 Sun: Crete-Santorini
Transfer to the port for a highspeed ferry to Santorini. On arrival transfer to Hotel. Use the free time to explore the area best known for its stunning views. Take the time to sample Santorini wines, take the cable car, or just indulge in amazing Mediterranean food. Enjoy the relaxed pace of the island. (B)

Day 12 Mon: Santorini
Free time to visit picturesque village of Oia famous for the best view of Santorini’s sunsets. The adventurous can walk the path between Fira and Oia, start early to avoid the midday sun. Optional day or sunset cruise of Santorini with visits to the hot springs, opportunities to swim, snorkel and a BBQ with drinks is an absolute must. (B)

Day 13 Tue: Santorini-Athens
Transfer to the port for fast ferry to Athens (upgrade to flight available at an extra charge). On arrival transfer from the port to Athenian Callirhoe Hotel. Located in the heart of Athens enjoy spectacular views of Acropolis from the rooftop restaurant and bar. (B)

Day 14 Wed: Athens
Half day sightseeing tour including a visit to the famed Acropolis, Zeus’s Temple and the modern Olympic Stadium as well as the famous Acropolis Museum. Afternoon is free to wander the streets of the Plaka to take in local sites, shop and feel like a true Athenian. (B)

Day 15 Thu: Athens
After breakfast end of our services. (B)

If you wish to visit Mykonos we offer 18 Day itinerary which includes a visit to Mykonos and stay at Myconian K hotel or Lady Anna hotel, after Santorini before proceeding to Athens.
